Mutation Gene

From The Wajas Wiki
(Redirected from Mutation percentage)

Mutation Gene, more commonly known as MU, is a stat that determines the likelihood of the waja's pups inheriting the mutations of their parents. On higher generation pups (pups born generation 4 or higher), this stat increases the likelihood of a mutated Marking or Mutation appearing though the occurrence is rare. MU is located on a wajas page in the same area as the other breeding stats, MG, LQ, and IN%.

Mutation inheritance and MU's exact effect on it is not perfectly understood. The general idea is that the higher the MU, the higher the chance the pups will be born with a mutation. It is also widely believed that you must raise the MU of both parents (even if the other parent doesn't show or carry any mutations) in order to get the best chance of getting pups to show the mutation.

MU, like all stats, is inherited by the waja's pups. If the mother has the higher MU stat, the pups will get an MU that is averaged between the MU of both parents. If the father has the higher MU, the pups will get the MU of the mother.

Increasing MU

You can raise the MU of a Waja 1 to 5 points at a time by feeding it Strange Pears. You can also raise it by 1 point at a time by feeding the waja Green Candy. There is currently no way to lower a waja's MU.
