Breed them? Certainly not. Clogging up server space is frowned upon at Wajas. That's all muddies do. Gather up dust on the waja search.

Muddies are not to be confused with [[fades]]. Fades are wajas that have non-100 markings but are still considered attractive despite (or even because of) the faded markings because their markings are still clear and/or they blend well together. Whether or not a waja qualifies as a muddy (as opposed to a [[fade]]) is partially up to personal opinion. It takes time and experience for players to get a feel for whether a waja will be viewed as muddy or faded by the general player base.
OWF/Retire them? Yup! The only solution with muddies is to OWF or Retire them. OWFing? It means you "sell it" to the Obsessed Waja Fan. It will be the same as retired there. Retiring? Huh? When you retire your waja, it stays in your cave. But you can't equip items to it, dye it, breed it, sell it enter it in contests, edit it's name/description, you get the point. You gain 10k from each of these. And the site has more server space once it's gone.
Muddies, you now get to the point where you figure out what I'm talking about. Well. Here is an example of a muddies page:
LQ: 0 MU:0. MG: 0. IN%: 67
Cheetah. 10
Giraffe 10
Mud. 20
Kitsune. 40
Rainbow 10
Okapi 50
Mottled 30
Butt Spots 20
You can just imagine how ugly it would be. And now think of all of the really ugly pups it would make if you bred it. Soon, it would turn into a slosh of random Colors. Icky! But muddies, in fact, generally have more markings than 8.Would you buy (or even take for free) one of those? I doubt it very much. Why waste a love pear on something less than the pears value?
Fades? Fades are a little different from muddies. Fades are prettier (sometimes) and generally their marking % is high but not 100. Here is an example of a fades stats:

LQ: 50 MU: 0 MG : 0 IN%: 0
Wind 100
Stars 70
Belly 80
I'd say something like that would be bred from two common marking combinations, wind and belly and wind and stars. Both combos have Wind, so wind is at 100, but Belly and stars are medium/high.
What are muddies valued at? Currently around ehhh... Nothing. People give away muds.
Some people call inbreds, linebreds or just ugly Colored wajas muddy.

"Muddy" is a general term used to describe a waja with low markings and an overall appearance that is murky, dull, and unattractive. The wajas themselves are called "Muddies" or "Muds". Usually they are brown or gray, but it is perfectly possible for them to be a murky shade of any color. It is also technically possible for a waja with all 100 markings to be a muddy if it fits the other qualifications; it just isn't as common.

Muddies are not to be confused with fades. Fades are wajas that have non-100 markings but are still considered attractive despite (or even because of) the faded markings because their markings are still clear and/or they blend well together. Whether or not a waja qualifies as a muddy (as opposed to a fade) is partially up to personal opinion. It takes time and experience for players to get a feel for whether a waja will be viewed as muddy or faded by the general player base.

Muddy wajas are generally the result of poor breeding. They are considered fairly worthless and a waste of server space by most users, so they are more often than not OWFed. However, there are some users who make projects or challenges out of improving on muddy wajas. They do this by creatively dying the waja, or by breeding the waja properly to eventually create a good looking offspring.

As previously stated, whether or not a waja is considered muddy will vary from person to person as it is, in the end, based on personal opinion. If you want to know whether or not a given waja is considered muddy by other users, you can always ask on the Help Forum.
