Reselling is the practice of buying something (usually a waja or item) for the purpose of later selling it for a profit.

Waja Reselling

Waja reselling is one of the more risky forms of reselling. Generally a user will use the Waja Search to find quality wajas that have been priced very cheaply. They will then buy up the waja, increase its price to the value they believe it has, and attempt to sell it to someone else. This is often aided by including the waja in a sales thread on the Waja Sales board and by responding to Wanted Ads for wajas similar to the one you're trying to sell.

Item Reselling

Item reselling usually takes the form of buying under priced accessories and wallpapers from other users via the shop search to resell them. When doing this, you need to be confident that the price you are buying the item at is below its potential value.

Item reselling can also include buying items from the Leaf Exchange and Monthly Items Shop and holding on to them until after they are no longer available in their respective stores, then selling them to other users once their value has gone up. You can also hold on to gifts for activity and items found in the mining cave until they increase in value, though these usually turn a smaller profit because so many of them exist. This requires patience and luck, as it can sometimes take months or longer for an item's price to increase significantly.

Pear Reselling

One of the most popular forms of reselling, Pear reselling (often called "Pear Restocking") most commonly involves buying popular pears (often Normal Pears and Age Pears, though almost all pears can be resold for profit) from the Pear Shop to sell in your shop or in bulk to users who need a large number of them. This is highly profitable, as many users cannot meet their pear needs via the Pear Shop alone due to purchasing limits and high demand.

Users will also sometimes buy pears from other users in the shop search to resell at a higher price, if they feel the other user's prices are too low and that they can turn a profit from buying them.

Dye Reselling

Dye reselling (often called "Dye Restocking") most commonly involves buying dyes from the Dye Shop to sell in bulk to users who need multiples of the dye. Because the stock of the Dye Shop is limited and sells fast, and because users with Dye Projects usually need a large number of dyes, users can buy dyes from the dye shop and re-sell them for significantly more than they bought them for.

Rarer dyes sometimes are available for CWP in the Monthly Items Shop. Users will often buy these and hold on to them until after they are removed from the shop so that they can sell them for a profit when the demand goes up.
