African wajas (also known as "Affies") are one of the 14 Waja [[breeds]] currently obtainable. This breed is based off of the African Wild dogs (Cape Hunting Dog). They are the only Waja facing forward and hypothetically looking at the user, limiting the view of markings on the back. This is the only breed that has two tails.

To change a waja into an African breed, use a [[Rock Waja]].

==The Old Waja Search and Waja Search 2.0==

On May 17, 2011, site coder Commando revamped the Waja Search to it's current 2.0 state. This is because the old search was a huge load on the server and a major cause of lag. One or two people doing a waja search would often lock up the site for everyone for a minute or more. Quoting the waja search page:

The new search pre-indexes wajas periodically (similar to what Google does) so that searches go blazingly fast. And it doesn't lock up the wajas database like the old search did, slowing down the server for everyone else.

Some differences between this search and the old waja search:

* no longer slows down the site, searches are also much faster
* you can now search for multiple breeds (including Breedless)
* you can now search for more markings and mutations
* you can now search for wajas with ALL of the specified markings, ONLY the specified markings, or NO markings
* only Sale and Breeding wajas are indexed
* simplified marking search (for now)
* the wajas are re-indexed every 15 minutes, so the search may be slightly out of date

They have long fur, a long, fluffy curled tail, short muzzles, and semi-short legs. They are smiling and appear to be happy. Spitz are in a sitting pose, with their head moved in closer to their chest just a little.

'Spitz' is the name of the breed 'group' that Keeshonds are a part of. For a time this suggested breed was called also Husky waja.

This breed idea started from two things that she wanted to see in a waja: a super-fluffy breed and another small breed. She wanted something big, fluffy, husky type and at the same time something like the Corsie - small and cute. She used Keeshond dog as reference.

While [[Downtime]] Keshhond Dog generator created by Dankesque was greatly popular on [[Wajas Downtime Forum]]. Users used it as adoptable generator for their customs or favourite wajas.

On June 7th she admitted working on a new breed called Spitz. She wrote "Accip resized a huge amount of items and Soteria did the markings so it's near completion. I have to finish up some mutations and redraw about 140 or so accessories then we can get this baby released!"

On June 21st 2010 Spitz waja showed up on waja demo generator and in the news post Apollo asked waja users to help test mutations and markings before breed release.

On June 22nd 2010 Apollo said that there's some really awesome spitz designs people are making and suggested that this is becoming her favorite breed.

On June 30th 2010 Spitz [[tokens]] and [[star packages]] were in the [[token shop]]. Spitz was announced to be a new common breed and the Silver and Gold Tokens for them will always be available.

On June 22nd 2010 Apollo said that There's some really awesome ones on all kinds of spitz designs people are making and suggested that this is becoming her favorite breed.

On June 30th 2010 Spitz [[tokens]] and [[star packages]] were in the [[token shop]]. Spitz was announced to be a new common breed and the Silver and Gold Tokens for them will always be available.

Santa Apollo returned on December 1st, 2011 for the start of the Chrismtas 2011 advent-style event. Each day, players could visit Santa Apollo (a page located under World) and follow a link to receive a gift. As with every year, many new items were released through this event, as well as the re-release of several old items. Each day had two gift "set" possibilities, which each set including one new item, one old item, and some [[WC]].

'''Note:''' There was a small error on the first day of the event where users who accepted their gifts early in the day ended up receiving items from day 1 of the [[Christmas 2010]] event instead of the new items. These users were allowed to keep these gifts and the advent was reset later that day to allow these users to receive the new items as well.
