Disclaimer: This is only a breeding guideline to breed Wajas together, NOT a necessity. Players are free to breed how they wish, however this guide will give tips on how to breed Wajas with stronger markings.

Basics:
1. Make sure you have a pretty Waja with a small amount of markings (for this guide) and a love pear available. Is the Waja 20 days or older? Good. Now we will proceed to the next step.

2. Go to the Waja Search and look for a Waja that has similar markings to breed with your Waja. Remember! Check the owners rules and make sure you're not violating any by requesting the breeding. The rules can be found under the waja's picture, and sometimes in the cave description.

3. Check the lineage up to the grandparent (that is three gens up). No parents the same? Good. (This is to prevent inbreeding)

4. Use the color mixer tool on the site by clicking help - color mixer. Now find the texts of the two parents, and make sure the result is pretty. To do this, open another tab in the custom demo and see what the pup will look like. Remember to combine all the markings, and when you're done, and happy with it, click breed. A request has been sent to the owner.

5. Pups are born in 5 days. Enjoy!

Here is an example of a what a breeding might look like if you have done the above steps.

If an Ancient Love Pear (ALP) was used, then the pups will be a close median pup of the parents' colors. If you use a regular love pear (LP), then the colors of the base and markings can range anywhere between the mother and father's colors.

Method 2 - Making profits

Another breeding method.

1. Grab a a waja you like. It's better to start with not many markings, but go wild, if you please.

2. Use the waja search under world - waja search for a similar waja. For this method, make sure you click "Selling - yes". For the rest of the criteria, select "all breeds", click "breeding - yes" and add the markings to the appropriate boxes. If they don't all fit, that's ok. To have better opacity and increase your profits, make them all equal to 100%.

3. When you find a waja you like, make sure it's very close to your waja marking-wise.

4. Check the wajas' mixed colors. To do this, have open 4 tabs on wajas. Make one the color mixer by going to help - color mixer, and the other tab the custom demo by going world - custom demo. The last 2 tabs should be your waja and the waja you want to purchase.

5. Put the markings on the custom demo in the female waja's layering. Now, in the color mixer, for each marking take the father and the mother's hex code and put them in the appropriate place. When this is done, add the middle color to the designated marking on the custom demo. Do this with all markings, coat, and eyes.

6. When you're all done with this, if you like the waja's combo pups, purchase it. Breed the two wajas together, and in 5 days, you will have a new litter. You can sell these for prices around similar wajas on the waja search, or you could open a thread on the [[forums]] asking what other users may think of it, and what they would pay.

7. Remember, if there are any pups you would like to keep, do so! They are yours!

'''Breeding in the markings'''

OK, this job is a toughie, and may take a while, so you'll need patience.

1. Get a Waja with your favorite marking. Make sure it's at 100, or this will not go as well for you. Now, you find a waja of the opposite gender on the Waja Search, this time, we want a markingless.

2. You know the drill, breed with it. When the pups come, don't be upset. They will be fades.

3. Age pear one of the pups, or wait until it's 20, and breed it with a waja with the marking you chose. Repeat step two with these wajas.

4. A few generations later, you'll have a perfect marked waja!

(I know you're saying "That's pointless" It's not. This is an example. Say you got an Aerial with 60% belly and it was a nice pretty one. You could make it even prettier by upping the opacity layer. Or if you got a markless waja, and didn't have the money to do a dye project, you breed in the markings)

Breeding out markings is as simple as breeding them in. You just get a waja with all the markings yours has and breed it with all of the markings but one.
Inbreeding- Noo!
Inbreeding is a kind if breeding where you breed puppies from the wajas parents or relatives. Yuck! Not many on wajas respect it, which is why you should always check both wajas lineages when breeding.

==Common Abreviations Used in Breeding==

LQ: [[Litter Quantity]]. Can be increased by using Normal Pears. Litter Quantity increases the chance of how many pups are born in one litter (up to 4 per litter).

MG: [[Male Gene]]. Can be increased with male pears. MG increases the chance of males being born in the litter.

MU: [[MU|Mutation]]. This can be increased by using Strange Pears. It increases the chances of mutations on pups.

In%: [[Inbred Percentage]]. Shows the % inbred of a Waja, up to their corresponding grandparents.

IBP: [[Instant Birth Pear]]. Fed to a pregnant Waja for an instant birth (no pregnant delay).

LP: [[Love Pear]]. Used to breed Wajas. Owner of the female supplies this.

ALP: [[Ancient Love Pear]]. Used to breed Wajas with the old breeding script to produce median pups.

MP: Male Pear. Increases male gene.

SP: Strange Pear. Increases mutation gene.

IP: Ice Pear. Decreases In%.

NP: Normal pear. Increases LQ.

Pears are items that you can feed to your waja. Various pears will do different things, such as increase age, change gender, and others.

==How to get a pear==

Age Pear Crumbs are no longer available. You can only get them from user's shops.

Instant Birth is rare. It's randomly given out by Estuko.

Markings and Mutations Pears can be found in the Leaf Exchange for 45 leaf points.

All other pears restock in the pear shop. The Pear Shop restocks at the same minute time every hour. The times are: :02, :17, :32, and :47.

Alternatively, pears can be obtained from trades, or purchased from the user shops and auctions (all accessible from the World menu).
You can also win them from things like a [[Contest]], [[Giveaways]], etc.

==What does which pear==

-[[Age Pear]]: Raises a waja's age by 20 days.

-[[Age Pear Crumbs]]: Raises a waja's age by 3-5 days.

-[[Ancient Love Pear]]: Allows wajas to breed. These are used automatically. If requesting a breeding with another user, the owner of the female gets the love pear taken from their inventory. [[ALP]] will use the [[old breeding script]], pups colors will be the median color of the parents. Check out the [[color mixer]] to see the median color.

-[[Gender Pear]]: Switches a waja's gender.

-[[Ice Pear]]: Reduces IN% by 1-5%.

-[[Instant Birth Pear]]: Makes a waja give birth instantly.

-[[Love Pear]]: Allows wajas to breed. These are used automatically. If requesting a breeding with another user, the owner of the female gets the love pear taken from their inventory. Custom Wajas

CageBreak: Don't CWP cost 5 million WC these days? Feel free to revert this if you disagree~.

Customs are wajas that you, yourself create with Tokens (Bought with [[CWP]] at the [[token shop]]). You can create a design first in the [[custom demo]]. These wajas are all generation 1, which means they are the best generation. Don't go selling these off cheap! Considering that it costs 20 CWP for the cheapest token (the Silver Token), and that each CWP costs roughly around 5 million WC each. CWP you either buy with real life cash or you save up enough WC to buy all of the CWP you need.

Another thing you could do is buy a pre-made Custom, which means that someone else created the custom. These are generally cheaper. You can find them by going on the side bar to "World", "Waja Search"; choosing the breed you want (Or "all breeds"); typing in (in Max price) the amount you would be willing to pay (Warning: most gen 1s go for 30 mil and up) and, in the spots that say "Max Gen" and "Min Gen", type in "1", then click "Submit".

No gen 1s that you make at first have any LQ (Litter Quantity), MG (Male Gene), MU (Mutation), or IN (Inbred percentage; no IN is good). To gain LQ, feed it normal pears. To gain MG, feed it Male Pears. To gain MU, feed it Strange Pears. Depending on the person, you may not want to give it more MG or MU, though LQ is always good as it affects the likelihood that a certain amount of pups will be born (more LQ, likelihood of more pups.)

Commonly, users will make a pre-sales thread in which people pay for the wajas, helping the user to save up the money to buy and breed the customs. Many users make profits off of these, or just use them to create a custom they desire. Warning: When a pre-sales is made, ALL ordered pups must be given out in 3 months MAX.

==Dye Customs==

Because [[custom token]]s are rather expensive with a starting price of 20 [[CWP]] in the [[token shop]], some users choose to dye already existing Wajas to make a custom design. Dye customs are most commonly made on [[markingless]] Wajas. However, some users do choose to make dye customs by dyeing Wajas with non-dye markings.

Unlike typical customs, dye customs can be any generation ranging from [[gen 2]] to [[supergen]].

There are 10 different games on wajas.

===[[Mining]]===
The [[Mining]] game is a unique daily game that requires you to dig (click) repeatedly using the directional buttons at the bottom of the mining interface, with each dig giving you the opportunity to find random items or WC in the Midnight Cave. The game can be played once daily, and is over for the day when the waja runs out of digs. For more information, please see the [[Mining]] page.

===Slider===
The classic Slider game is also on wajas. The picture the slider makes is of Apollo (A green and blue waja) standing on a cliff. You can play the slider game and win twice a day and it is free to play. If you win the game (Get all of the pieces in the right place) then you win 30,000wc! If you are one of the 2 first winners of the day you will also get a special bonus.

===[[Slots]]===
[[Slots]] is a simple game of chance where you spin the slots and, depending on the pictures that come up and in what order, win various amounts of WC. It costs 150 WC per spin, and you can spin up to 30 times per day. For more information, please see the [[Slots]] page.

===[[Wajas & Wajas]]===
[[Wajas & Wajas]] is a guessing game where the goal is to figure out the colors of the 4 hidden [[Plushie]] wajas by process of elimination. The game costs 1,000 WC per play and you start off with 20,000 WC in the winning pot. You will then be given 20 guesses, with each guess after the first one you make reducing your winnings by 1,000 WC. Unlike most of the other games, this game has no limit on how many times you can play per day. For more information, please see the [[Wajas & Wajas]] page.

===[[Fish-A-Waja]]===
Fish-A-Waja is like when you fish for ducks at a fair. Just pick anyone of the green plastic wajas floating in the pool and then see what you win! This game is free to play, but you can only play this game once a day. You can win quite a lot of wc from this game, an average amount being about 70,000wc.

===Waja Lottery===
The waja lottery isn't so much a game, but a lottery, as you can probably tell from its name. You can buy any amount of tickets that you want, but they each cost 300wc, which the money you spend to buy the ticket goes into the jackpot, but you then have a chance to win the lottery! The winner is told at the end of every week and there is a winner every week. Each drawing is guaranteed to have a jackpot of at least 10,000wc, but the jackpot usually ends up being millions and millions of wc!

===[[Word Wizard]]===
Word wizard is a little like hang man, you have to guess the word right to win! You get a hint on what the word is, and then you must guess letters until the word is spelled out all the way. Some rounds may be worth more wc then others. If you guess 8 letters wrong then you lose. Each day you can play 4 times a day for free, and then you can also play 8 more times for 500wc each round.

===Trivia===
All you have to do in this game is pick the answers to win wc! Each question you get right is worth about 25,000wc on average, but you may only answer each set of questions once and you then have to wait until the next batch is released to play again, and this may take awhile. Remember, sharing the answers to the trivia questions is against the rules!

===Daily Pear Game===
You can play this game once a day. There are 3 hidden pears in a row (they all look like black pear shadows), one is worth 1,500wc, one 1,200wc and the last 1,000wc. Each time you have played this game in a row the pears wc worth gets x by that number. (For example, if you are playing this game and it is your 11th day in a row playing it and you pick the pear worth 1,000wc it then changes to 11,000wc so you then win 11,000wc!)

===Rune Seek Game===
You can play the Rune Seek Game 4 times a day for free, and after that you can play it for 500wc. To play the game, you must flip over the tiles and try to find the word "Wajas". If you flip over 7 tiles that have to letter under them before you find the word, then you lose. For each letter you find you win 200wc. Keep in mind, that the letters that spell the word wajas are not always next to each other! If you find all of the letters you then win 5,000wc!

Wajas, pronounced Wah-has, is a virtual petsite created by [[Apollo]] that gets its name from the Cherokee word for "wolf." Wajas is a breeding simulation that centers a variety of different wolf-like species, called Wajas, that can have different [[markings]] and [[mutations]] in any color. There are 14 unique breeds and over 90 [[markings]] and [[mutations]]!

== [[Aerial]] ==

Aerials are a dominant breed of feathered wajas. Their tongue is proboscis-like, and small tufts of feathers decorate their ears, shoulders, and legs. They have talon-like feet rather than paws.

Aerials are ranked 2 in the dominance chart, below Normals, and roughly equivalent to Banes.

Africans are the only breed of wajas depicted fully face on. They have two tails, and large ears inspired by the wild african dog.

Banes are a vicious breed of wajas, intended to be released in time for Halloween 2008. They are supposed to be a scarier breed than the others. This breed is highly dominant as would be expected for a brand-new breed, roughly equal to aerials.

== [[Corsie]] ==

It is modeled after a small dog breed, and appears to be looking happily at the user. It has a short, docked tail and semi-floppy ears, with big eyes. It has an apparent smile, and is lifting one foot up.

== [[Divine]] ==

Divines are the rarest and most expensive of the waja breeds. They fall at the lowest position on the dominance chart. The difficulty in breeding divines, combined with the extreme rarity of divine custom tokens makes them amongst the highest-priced wajas available. Divines are regal wajas with wings, horns, and a pair of long whiskers like an asiatic dragon.

Divine tokens are available one day each year. On July 3, starting at 9am, gold and silver divine tokens go on sale in the token shop for 24 hours. These tokens cost 50/60 CWP each, are limited to two per person, and are "locked" until divine day ends - you cannot use a Divine token until the 24 hours is up.

Fun and playful, the Earth breed is noted for having hooves instead of paws. These hooves are the same colour as the waja's body, and is unaffected by markings that would normally cover the paws.

== [[Egyptian]] ==

Stunning and sleek, the egyptian breed is based off the pharaoh hound. Bracelets and collars take on a different appearance when equipped to egyptian wajas. Collars become golden torques with gems set in the centre, while the bracelets become golden cuffs.

Fire wajas are long, sleek wajas, with flaming paws. They have three short, fluffy tails. The colour of the flames is determined by the waja's eye colour.

== [[Imp]] ==

They are based on a mix of a rat and an imp, a mischievous being, and was even released as an example of a rat. Imps seem to be landing from a jump on their front feet, and are smiling as if looking at the user. The imp has a long, spiked tail, and almost talon-like clawed feet.

== [[Normal]] ==

The Normal was the first breed released on Waja. It is the breed that Apollo, the site mascot, is. This is the most common waja, and the most dominant.

== [[Plushie]] ==

They are made only when a plastic waja (from the Fish-a-Waja game) is used on a waja, creating a plushie waja. These plushie wajas are made to resemble plush toys, and have a stitched smile with glass eyes. They are posed in a way that looks almost like it is stretching by moving it's front legs out farther and moving the back legs up. Recently, the Plushie breed had undertaken a new shading, with more defined lines and slightly different eyes.

Spitz are the most recently added breed, just 2 months after the Imp. They are modeled after the Keeshond dog breed, and are very fluffy. They have a long, fluffy curled tail, short muzzles, and semi-short legs. They are smiling and appear to be happy. Spitz are in a sitting pose, with their head moved in closer to their chest just a little.

They are a wind breed, hence the name tempest. They are standing and looking with their head flipped back, as if something was behind them. They have curls all over their fur, symbolizing wind running through their coat.

Water wajas are serpentine and curled in a C shape. They are commonly striped/streaked with a line down their middle. Water wajas can be obtained by using a frog item on any other waja, which will turn said waja in to a water waja. You can also get a water waja from just buying one from another player or from making a custom one.

Breedless are a non-dominant breed, just above Divines on the dominance chart.
