Moderators or "Mods" are users chosen by the site administration to assist them in enforcing the rules and generally ensuring that the site runs smoothly and the players are happy. They are not to be confused with Site Artists, who have green feathers. There are currently two types of mods, Full Mods and Forum Mods.
Full Mods
Full mods have many powers and handle a multitude of tasks around the site, including but not limited to:
- Enforcing the site rules and ToS
- Freezing users who break the rules/ToS
- Moving, removing, and/or locking forum threads as necessary
- Acting as mediators in user disputes
- Handling reported players, posts, and glitches
- Fixing glitched wajas and reporting glitches they can't handle to the Admin/Coder
- Answering player questions and concerns
It's best to message a full mod for:
- Lost account information
- Glitches
- Trolls and bot accounts
Full mods can be identified by the silver feather icon that appears next to their user name. Full mods who also perform another job on the site (such as being an artist) will have a feather that is half silver, with the other half featuring the color of their other position.
Forum Mods
Forum moderators primarily maintain order on the forums. Their jobs include:
- Enforcing the site rules and ToS
- Moving, removing, and/or locking forum threads as necessary
- Acting as mediators in user disputes
- Answering player questions and concerns
It's best to message a forum mod for:
- Forum issues
- Issues that occur over private messages
Forum mods can be identified by the bronze feather icon that appears next to their user name.
Becoming a Mod
As of 2022, there is now an application to become a staff member. Mods are hand picked by the admin team when there is need for more mods and when they see a player that demonstrates the traits they are seeking. Generally, those recruited to be mods tend to be older players who have shown a strong understanding of the site and how it works, are very familiar with the rules/ToS and follow them, are level headed, and demonstrate a desire and willingness to help other players.
New mods start as forum mods. Full mods are chosen from the ranks of forum mods, however, this does not imply a hierarchy of power, merely a difference in duties.
Current Moderator Team
For a list of current moderators, forum moderators, and other members of staff, you can go to the Staff Page found under Help on the site. Alternatively, you may also visit the Staff Page article on this wiki for a list of both past and present staff members.
