Waja War

A Waja War is a type of user held game, and belongs in the such forum. There are many different types of Waja Wars, but the most commonly found ones are Gen 2 Waja Wars. To participate in a Waja War, be sure to read the rules fully and understand them before you begin. In any Waja War, the person who created the thread will offer up Waja(s) - the number depends on the rules, but usually ranges from around 2-3 Wajas - that follow the rules. Rules usually state that only Wajas of a certain generation can participate. More specific Wars regulate marking strength, color, or amount, and also breed and theme. (For example, a Gen 2 Halloween War would only allow Wajas that are second generation and have a color scheme that goes with the Halloween theme.)

WARNING:When you decide to join one of these games, you are making the decision to do so knowing that it is possible that you will send a Waja to another user who will, in turn, not bother to send one on to the next person waiting. Joining games such as these are 'at your own risk', meaning that you understand you may lose a Waja, items, or even WC by joining.

The Basics

The basic routine in a Waja War goes like this - offer, claim, offer, claim. One user offers up Wajas, and another user sees a Waja he or she wants, and claims it. The user that claims then puts up his or her own offers, and the cycle continues. Depending on the rules specific to each War, you may need to update your offers by adding a Waja if no one has claimed anything in a day or two or include a requirement for the next user's offers. When adding, it helps people regulating the war if you post a date above the Wajas you are adding to your original offer.

The Claim

When you see a Waja you want, you can claim it by posting which above Waja you would like to claim. (Ex: "I claim the black and red Bane. Offers up in a moment.") After posting, add images and links to the Wajas you want to offer up. This makes it easier for potential claimers to view their details and for moderators to see that your Wajas are within the rules. Some Wars do not specify that you include linked images for your Wajas, but it is highly recommended. If there is a specific requirement as to which Wajas can be offered, be sure to uphold it. Most Wars encourage you to offer 2 or more Wajas, but again, it can be specific to each War. To keep people claiming and the War moving, do not claim decent Wajas only to offer up ugly ones. Although 'ugly' is a standard based off of opinion, try not to claim a a Gold Token Divine with 8 100% markings and expensive dyes only to offer up a Aerial with a single dull marking. Only offer up a Waja you yourself would claim, and try to keep your offers on par with the other Wajas offered in the War.

Follow Through

After you have posted wanting to claim a Waja, Personal Message (PM) the user that owns the Waja so they know you have claimed. Give the user sometime to send over your Waja, which should appear in your transfers. After posting your offers, including a short sentence telling that any claimer should message you is also a good idea. Be sure to occasionally check back at the Waja War thread to see if anyone has claimed. Update your offers within a day or two, or according to the time frame in the rules of that specific War. When someone does claim, be sure to send the Waja over to them.

Stalling

Stalling a War is the term used when a user offers up Wajas, but none of them are claimed and said user does not offer up any new Wajas. Thus the War is stalled, and no one claims anything. The original poster, moderators of the War, or users who watch the thread will eventually PM the user to ask for an additional Waja to be offered. If there is no response, users will usually offer up 'freebie' Wajas that other users may claim in place of the stalling user's Wajas so that the War gets moving again. In this case, the stalling user does not have to give up any Wajas whilst the users giving freebies get nothing in return from their offers. Stalling should be avoided, and is considered inconsiderate and rude.

Common Rules and Checklist

Rules can vary from War to War, but be sure to check if your Waja has:

-The correct generation? (for Generation Wars)
-The correct breed? (for Breed Wars)
-An applicable color scheme? (for Themed Wars)
-A passable number of markings? (for High-Standard and Dyeball Wars)
-The correct marking strength? (for High-Standard and Fade Wars)

Does your offer:

-Include the right amount of Wajas? (depends on the War; usually 2 or more Wajas to an offer)
-Include links? Images? (or better yet linked images?)
-Have a password, if required? (some Wars require that you post in a specific word, usually mentioned somewhere in the rules, to make sure that you have actually read through the rules)
-Have a requirement, if needed? (some Wars, particularly High-Standard ones, require that you say what the next offers need to include, such as a specific color.)

Types of Wars

Generation 2:

These Wars only allow Wajas of the second generation to be offered and claimed.

High-Standard:

In a High-Standard Waja War, the Wajas offered need to be of high quality and usually follow certain requirements that are outlined in the rules and sometimes given by the user who has offering Wajas. Requirements usually include a certain color, color scheme, mutation, marking, or breed.

Gen 2 & 3 War:

Wajas from both the second and third generations are to be offered up, but you can only claim one Waja.
