How to Join
1. First and foremost, please know that you do NOT need an account with us to view the wiki! An account is necessary only if you wish to personally upload images, make edits, and create pages. If you only want to read the pages and look at the images, you do not need to make an account for that and should feel no obligation to do so.
2. Read our Terms of Service to be sure you understand our policies and to get more information about applying successfully.
- Your username will be the username that you will use to log in. It doesn't necessarily need to match your wajas username as long as you follow the rest of the instructions.
- The email address will be the address where your confirmation email will be sent, so it needs to be valid.
- You must enter your wajas ID in the Wajas ID field! Usernames on wajas are not unique, so we need your ID number to be able to identify you. More on this below.
- Under bio, just tell us a little something about yourself. This will become your user page if you are accepted, so put whatever you would want on that page here. You are encouraged to include your Wajas ID here as well. It doesn't need to be very long, but it does need to be at least 10 words.
4. Your application will not be accepted until we can verify your User ID as stated in the Terms of Service. We must be able to verify that the ID you applied with belongs to you before we can accept your request!
- If we receive an application that does not include an ID and don't receive a corresponding PM claiming that application, we will be unable to contact you and will have to reject the request.
- If we receive an application that includes an ID, but don't receive a PM, a PM will be sent to the ID# provided in the application to ask if they were indeed the ones who applied. If we get confirmation this way, the account will be accepted.
- Your wajas.com account must be at least 3 months old to be accepted. This is both to prevent fraudulent account making and to ensure that you have been on wajas long enough to have a good foundational knowledge of how it works.
How to Help
You can browse around the pages on the wiki and find ways to improve them or create new pages by clicking red links or searching for page titles that haven't been made yet (Note: please only create a new page if it is a specific topic, you have substantial information on the subject, and an existing page covering that topic does not already exist). The "To Do List" to the right should also have a list of specific things to do.
Wiki uses a unique markup system. Here are some guides to wiki editing:
- Wikipedia' Official Wiki Markup Guide
- Wikipedia Markup Cheatsheet
- The Aywas Wiki's Quick and Dirty Guide
- Go to Special:Upload to upload images.
Feel free to experiment and edit as needed! Changes made to a wiki are easy to rollback if you mess up in any way.
