Glitches

From The Wajas Wiki
(Redirected from Rainbow marking glitch)

Through the history of Wajas, there have been many glitches, both minor and major. Some glitches like the "breedless glitch" or the "rainbow marking glitch" went on to become a normal part of the game due to their popularity.

Custom Glitches

Carried Mutation Customs

After the rollback and downtime of Fall 2008, some newly created customs would have mutations listed "carried" instead of visible. On December 4, 2008, a news post was made for people to post their carried mutations customs so that they could be fixed. However, today, some carried mutation customs still exist.

Resolved Glitches

These are glitches that used to be present on the site, but have been resolved and no longer occur as glitches.

Rainbow Marking Glitch

The ability to give wajas markings that are rainbow colored was not originally available as a feature on the site. However, users during this time discovered that they could employ a marking glitch to create a waja that appeared to have rainbow markings. On a custom creation form, you would select the Rainbow Marking as one of the markings on the waja. Then, you would select the marking that you wanted to become rainbow and set it to FFFFFF pure white. This would cause the marking in question to appear as rainbow, and the waja's base to appear as pure white.

Eventually this glitch was fixed, and it was coded so that users could make markings rainbow by simply placing the word RAINBOW in the hex field for the marking.

Rainbow Opacity Glitch

For a brief time, it was possible to create a waja with a marking at an opacity percentage greater than 100%. When a rainbow marking's opacity was set above 100%, it created some very unique rainbow patterns in the marking. The glitch was quickly fixed, but several wajas were created with the glitch while it was still available, and these wajas retain their unique look.

Breedless Glitches

The breedless breed originated as a glitch that occurred early on in the site's history.
