Waja Search

The Waja Search is a search engine on Wajas which is used to look for wajas that are up for sale or available for breeding. You're able to fill out various criteria for what kind of results you want the search to return to you.

Breed: This section lists all of the breeds with little check boxes next to them. Here, you can check the box next to the breeds you want the searched waja's to be.

Gender: Here you can specify the gender of the waja you want to find. "F" for Female, "M" for Male, or "~" for either (the default position).

Sale: Here you can specify whether or not you're looking for wajas that are marked for sale. "Y" for Yes, "N" for No, or "~" for either (the default position).

Breeding: Here you can specify whether or not you're looking for wajas that are up for Stud or Reverse Breeding. "Y" for Yes, "N" for No, or "~" for either (the default position).

Pregnant: Here you can specify whether or not you're looking for wajas that are currently pregnant. "Y" for Yes, "N" for No, or "~" for either (the default position).

Min/Max Gen: Here you can specify a range of generations that you want to search for. Leave this blank if you don't wish to specify.

Min/Max Age: Here you can specify a range of ages that you want to search for. Leave this blank if you don't wish to specify.

Min/Max Price: If you marked "Y" or "~" for the Selling section, here you can specify a range of prices that you're willing to pay for sale wajas. Leave this blank if you don't wish to specify.

Min/Max Fee: If you marked "Y" or "~" for the Breeding section, here you can specify a range of prices that you're willing to pay to breed with the wajas. Leave this blank if you don't wish to specify.

Markings: At the top of this box you will see three check boxes:

• All of - You want the search to return wajas that have the specified markings as well as any other markings they might have in addition.
• Only - You want the search to return wajas the only have the specified markings and no more markings than those.
• No Markings - You want to search for wajas that have no markings at all.

Below that is 8 slots in which you can put the markings you're looking for. Next to each marking slot you can choose one of three options:

• Any Amount - The search will return wajas that have that marking in any opacity from 1-100.
• Amount=100 - The search will only return wajas that have that marking at full 100 opacity.
• None - The search will omit wajas that have that marking.

Mutations: At the top of this box you can check "No Mutations" if you only want wajas that have no mutations at all. Below that are 8 slots in which you can put the mutations you're looking for. Next to each mutation slot you can choose one of four options:

• Any - The search will return wajas that have this mutation either visible or carried.
• None - The search will omit wajas that have this mutation.
• Visible - The search will only return wajas that have this mutation visible.
• Carried - The search will only return wajas that have this mutation carried.

Sort By Price - If selected, this option will order the results from lowest price to highest price. Checking will slow down the search quite a bit, but is a useful tool.

Reset Search - This link will clear all the search fields so you can start over if you wish.

Sample Searches

To search for all wajas for sale with maximum price 200 000 wc:

1. Mark "Sale:" as "Y";
2. Put "1" in Sales "Min Price";
3. Put "200000" (without spaces, commas or apostrophes) in Sales "Max Price";
4. Check checkbox "Sort results by price";
5. Press button "Search".

To search for all spitz wajas for sale with maximum price 200 000 wc:

1. Check checkbox near the "spitz";
2. Mark "Sale:" as "Y";
3. Put "1" in Sales "Min Price";
4. Put "200000" (without spaces, commas or apostrophes) in Sales "Max Price";
5. Check checkbox "Sort results by price";
6. Press button "Search".

To search for all wajas for sale with visible bird wings and hound marking:

1. Mark "Sale:" as "Y";
2. Put "1" in Sales "Min Price";
3. Markings: Choose "Hound" from drop-down list and "Amount=100" from drop-down list below first one;
4. Mutations: Choose "Bird Wings" from drop-down list and "Visible" from field near first one;
5. Check checkbox "Sort results by price";
6. Press button "Search".

To search for all markingless and mutationless wajas for sale:

1. Mark "Sale:" as "Y";
2. Put "1" in Sales "Min Price";
3. Markings: Choose option "No Markings";
4. Mutations: Check checkbox "No Mutations";
5. Check checkbox "Sort results by price";
6. Press button "Search".

To search for all 2nd generation markingless and tri-winged wajas for sale with maximum price 2 000 000 wc:

1. Put "2" in "Min Gen";
2. Put "2" in "Max Gen";
3. Mark "Sale:" as "Y";
4. Put "1" in Sales "Min Price";
5. Put "2000000" (without spaces, commas or apostrophes) in Sales "Max Price";
6. Markings: Choose option "No Markings";
7. Mutations: Choose "Tri Wings" from drop-down list and "Visible" from field near first one;
8. Check checkbox "Sort results by price";
9. Press button "Search".

The Old Waja Search and Waja Search 2.0

How the old waja search looked.

On May 17, 2011, site coder Commando revamped the Waja Search to it's current 2.0 state. This is because the old search was a huge load on the server and a major cause of lag. One or two people doing a waja search would often lock up the site for everyone for a minute or more. Quoting the waja search page:

The new search pre-indexes wajas periodically (similar to what Google does) so that searches go blazingly fast. And it doesn't lock up the wajas database like the old search did, slowing down the server for everyone else.

Some differences between this search and the old waja search:

• no longer slows down the site, searches are also much faster
• you can now search for multiple breeds (including Breedless)
• you can now search for more markings and mutations
• you can now search for wajas with ALL of the specified markings, ONLY the specified markings, or NO markings
• only Sale and Breeding wajas are indexed
• simplified marking search (for now)
• the wajas are re-indexed every 15 minutes, so the search may be slightly out of date
• the search is continuing to be fine-tuned, so please bear with us
