Raccoon King Plot
This page is about the Raccoon King Plot initiated in the Mining Caves and contains spoilers.
The Raccoon King plot was released On September 16, 2015 and was the first major plot line of Wajas. The news post for its release began with a picture of the injured bird followed by a textual message:
"Please come help! They are here! They're are causing trouble. I need some help. I'll be waiting for you in the Mining Cave." Our new plotline is here! You'll discover parts of it as you explore in the Mining Cave. Pay close attention to all the maps as new, clickable areas will be made available (EVEN in the actual mining areas.)

Meeting the Injured Bird
One meets the injured bird at random whilst mining. The bird will appear in the actual cave image and you will be unable to continue digging until you choose one of the three options you're presented with: Ask what happened., Give the bird some medicine., or Ignore the bird. Ignoring the bird will cause it to simply go away, thus not beginning the plot line. Giving the bird medicine will cause it to thank you and leave you with the option to ask what happened or to walk away. Upon asking what happened, the bird will say "They... they have... returned! The... the... Raccoon King. -cries- They are... a vicious clan... of... of item thieves!". You can opt to look into it or not. The former will start you into the plot line, the bird thanking you and flying away.
Encountering Raccoons
After agreeing to look into the matter, you will eventually encounter a raccoon holding a piece of paper. You will have to go through both questions with him and pay him 80,000 WC for the information of where the Raccoon King is. After this he will run away and you will begin having random encounters with raccoon bandits. To effectively continue the plot line, you must choose the "Stop him!" option. The raccoon will run away empty handed, steal 10,000 WC, or steal one of the items from your inventory. Any items stolen will be returned to you upon completion of this plot line. If you're really worried about it, though, keep a list of what the raccoons take somewhere, such as in the description area of one of your wajas. After a while of choosing the "Stop him!" option, your waja will manage to take the torn map from him before he flees. The map has an image that appears, but isn't an actual item, or at least not one that you have for more than a second as it instantly unlocks the Raccoon Forest mining area.
The Raccoon King
Upon gaining access to the Raccoon Forest, exit your current cave and return to the Mining Cave entrance where you pick which cave to go into. A new one, emitting green light, will have appeared on the lower right. This is the entrance to the Raccoon Forest. Enter and you can begin mining again. After mining for a while, you will be attacked by a raccoon bandit. Attack him back and when you have defeated him there will appear a darkened clump of trees to the right in the forest image, which leads to the Raccoon King. The conversation with the King is fairly easy as there is only one option for much of it. If you apologise, the Raccoon King will give you a list of items of various quantities to retrieve from the Murky Forest and send you on your way, opening the Murky Forest area for you to mine in. The entrance for it appears as a blackened tree to the left in the Raccoon Forest image. These items can be found while mining in the Murky Forest, but can also be bought or traded for.
