The different types of wajas are referred to as breeds.  These include Normals, Aerials, Imps, Fires, etc.  The wajas breed affects how it will look both in general shap and how markings appear on it, as they vary somewhat from breed to breed.  No one breed is universally better in any way than another, but most people do have preferences.  The other thing that breeds affect is a waja's breed dominance.  This determines, when you breed two wajas of different breeds, which waja you will get.

Markings are the patterns that appear on the waja's coat.  There are many, but some examples are Wind, Dalmatian, Toes, and Peppermint.  The markings appear in a "layered" fashion on the waja.  Those at the top of the waja's marking list appear closer to the base of the waja.  Those at the bottom of the waja's marking list appear closer to the top and are usually more visible because of this.  Markings are also affected by their opacity which can be between 1 and 100, but only appears naturally in increments of 10.  The lower the number, the less visible the marking will be.

The colours on wajas are determined by Hex Codes, which are numbers 0-9 and letters A-F.  0 is the darkest and F is the lightest.  Hex code colours don't always mix like we're used to colours mixing, ie blue and yellow don't usually make green, but rather a grey colour.  This throws a lot of new players off.

Wajas, pronounced Wah-has, is a virtual petsite created by Estuko(currently called Apollo) that gets its name from the Cherokee word for "wolf." Wajas is a breeding simulation that centers a variety of different wolf-like species, called Wajas, that can have different markings and mutations in any color. There are 14 unique breeds (15 if Breedless is counted) and over 90 markings and mutations!

The Wajas Creatures

The pets on Wajas are called Wajas and come in a variety of different breeds such as Normal, Water, Divine, and Aerial. In general, Normals are the most common of all wajas and Divines are the rarest as a result of the the breed dominance order and the rarity of custom tokens.

Breeds

Main article: Breeds

The different types of wajas are referred to as breeds. These include Normals, Aerials, Imps, Fires, etc. The wajas breed affects how it will look both in general shap and how markings appear on it, as they vary somewhat from breed to breed. No one breed is universally better in any way than another, but most people do have preferences. The other thing that breeds affect is a waja's breed dominance. This determines, when you breed two wajas of different breeds, which waja you will get.

Markings

Main article: Markings

Markings are the patterns that appear on the waja's coat. There are many, but some examples are Wind, Dalmatian, Toes, and Peppermint. The markings appear in a "layered" fashion on the waja. Those at the top of the waja's marking list appear closer to the base of the waja. Those at the bottom of the waja's marking list appear closer to the top and are usually more visible because of this. Markings are also affected by their opacity which can be between 1 and 100, but only appears naturally in increments of 10. The lower the number, the less visible the marking will be.

Mutations

Main article: Mutations

Mutations are physical features added on to a waja's body. Some examples are gills, bird wings, bat wings, and unicorn horns. All mutations, when applied, can have a colour chosen for them, but not all mutations will show their set colour. These have no effect on the waja, aside from its appearance.

Colors

Main article: Colors

The colours on wajas are determined by Hex Codes, which are numbers 0-9 and letters A-F. 0 is the darkest and F is the lightest. Hex code colours don't always mix like we're used to colours mixing, ie blue and yellow don't usually make green, but rather a grey colour. This throws a lot of new players off.
